gnus software package provides A versatile news and mail reader for Emacsen, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnus
gnus is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnus package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnus *
You will get with gnus package name, version, architecture and description in a table
